Ep. 12: Wendelin receives two earldoms and begins developing the southern land after Kurt's defeat.

Kurt attempts to summon dragons with a magical flute, but the instrument channels the land's malice into him, transforming him into a massive undead creature. Wendelin and Elize reluctantly purify Kurt, whose lingering malice subsequently kills several nobles, including Head Auditor Ruckner. With the kingdom's quest resolved, the King tasks Wendelin with developing the undeveloped southern land and offers a reward. Wendelin requests two of the twelve vacant titles resulting from the deaths. The King grants this request, raises Wendelin to the rank of Earl, and allows him to bestow the titles. Wendelin informs Amalie that he will grant the titles to his nephews when they come of age, while Amalie notes that the boys will eventually understand Kurt's death was self-inflicted. Development of the southern region begins, with Wendelin overworked but content in his new life.
