Miwako praises Yamada’s pottery and takes her to a spa, but Yamada cries upon realizing the gesture was meant to cheer her up, worrying Nomiya. The next day, Takemoto is angry that Morita ate his bread, though Hagu offers some; Takemoto refuses, and Morita consumes it. Morita then receives a call from Kaoru requesting another job, which he reluctantly accepts. Takemoto aims to obtain his driver’s license quickly to work full-time with carpenters he met. He questions Mayama about living in the apartment, learning Mayama is saving for Rika. Meanwhile, Yamada waits at the Fujiwara Design Office, where an unexpected visit from Nomiya leads her to develop feelings for him.
