Envy transports Alphonse to the homunculi leader in the city hidden beneath Central. Edward locates this city using a page from Nash's diary, resulting in a final confrontation with Dante. During this encounter, Edward learns that Dante intends to transfer her soul into Rosé's body by utilizing the philosopher's stone contained within Alphonse. Dante subsequently sends Edward through the Gate of Truth. He awakens to find himself and Hohenheim in a war-torn London. This sequence reveals the true nature of the homunculi's plans and forces Edward into an unexpected and dangerous situation far from his home, highlighting the severe consequences of his previous actions and the ongoing threat posed by Dante and her followers.
