Ep. 50: Edward and Hohenheim flee WWI London while Dante manipulates homunculi to steal bodies.

During World War I, Edward and Hohenheim escape London as zeppelins bomb the city. Hohenheim explains that physics replaced alchemy in this world, but Edward can use his Gate of Truth to return to Amestris. Meanwhile, Mustang infiltrates the Führer’s mansion to avenge Hughes. Envy forces Gluttony to consume Alphonse’s body to complete the Philosopher’s Stone for Dante, who destroys Gluttony’s mind to ensure compliance. Wrath attempts to intervene using alchemy to revive Sloth, but Dante removes Edward’s original limbs from Wrath’s body, preventing alchemical use. Edward reunites with Hohenheim and returns to Amestris to stop Dante and free Alphonse and Rosé. Envy distracts Edward by transforming into Hohenheim’s deceased son, revealing he was the first homunculus created through failed human transmutation. Envy expresses hatred for Hohenheim’s abandonment and instantly kills Edward by piercing his heart, while Alphonse, Rosé, and Wrath watch in horror.
