Ep. 3: Kuzuha Watches Akatsuki While Students Face a Tampered Cockatrice

The student council instructs class representative Kuzuha to monitor Akatsuki and report his activities. Kuzuha expresses anxiety about attending school alongside significantly older peers. Akatsuki encourages her to follow the council's orders, noting that such surveillance will not affect his resolve. During subsequent combat training, the group encounters a low-level cockatrice. They discover the creature has been tampered with, rendering it far more powerful than usual and difficult to defeat. The students must confront this enhanced threat while Kuzuha continues her assigned observation duties under Akatsuki's guidance.
