Rahzel and her two companions explore the town near their inn, discovering the food is terrible. Alzeid faints from the taste, while Baroqueheat apologizes for overhearing a private conversation between Larawel and Rahzel. After playing cards, they return to find villagers attacking Larawel's father. He commits suicide to protect his daughter. The group learns Larawel caused the murders. Rahzel's past is revealed. Larawel kills herself. The group continues their journey.
