Ep. 9: High Card members pursue Klondike assassins while Finn recovers from trauma at Sun Fields.

Following the murder of Crown Prince Dylan by the Klondike family in Spada, Theodore directs High Card to retrieve all X-Playing Cards. Bernard arranges travel across Fourland, but Finn remains isolated in his room for two weeks after the Sun Fields incident. Chris persuades Finn to join a mission to Polostick to help him cope. Their journey is interrupted by Klondike members Jasper Libera and Alex. Jasper uses his 2 of Clubs power, Metallical Parade, to threaten the pair, revealing a mole within High Card. Alex attempts to crush the train with a rock, but Chris counters by threatening to kill Finn to acquire both cards through Calories High revival. Jasper attacks Finn with a chain-sickle, prompting Chris to kick him into a river below. Chris then holds Jasper off the train edge to stop it, while an unconscious Finn is discovered by a dark-skinned woman and her dog.
