Ep. 6: Keiichi discovers the Watanagashi ritual shrine and questions the village's sacrificial traditions.

Keiichi learns about the Oyashiro curse while Rika performs at the Watanagashi festival. Shion secretly takes him to the ritual tool shed, where Tomitake and Miyo Takano are present. They discover numerous torture instruments inside. Takano explains that the shrine is central to the festival and theorizes that Hinamizawa villagers sacrifice people to Oyashiro. Keiichi and Shion agree to keep their intrusion secret. However, Keiichi grows uneasy when Mion and Detective Oishi question him about his whereabouts with Shion, Tomitake, and Takano. He later learns from Shion that Takano was found burned to death and Tomitake committed suicide by clawing out his throat. This news causes Keiichi to worry about the safety of both Shion and himself.
