Bocchi worries about changing classes next year, leading rich girl Mayo Ojousa to hire her to make paper cranes under the false pretense of buying the school. Mayo eventually reveals that the school does not change its classes, admitting she kept quiet about this fact because she felt lonely due to her parents always being absent. To help her, Bocchi and the others decide to take Mayo to an arcade to take a print club photo. During this outing, Bocchi expresses her desire to become friends with Mayo, marking a shift in their relationship as they address Mayo's isolation.
