EP 1The Past Is Gone. The Dawn of the New Age!!
Mar 12, 1987The Tentei Army expands its territory through oppression, forcing citizens in the Imperial Capital to manually generate energy for Viceroy Jakoh to combat his fear of darkness. A gravestone erected for Kenshiro serves as a trap for two scythe-wielding Tentei assassins who murder anyone visiting the site. Bat and Lin lead a Hokuto rescue party to free men abducted by the Tentei Army to work as slaves, but the captives are burned to death before they can be liberated. Meanwhile, a mysterious bearded drifter arrives in a poverty-stricken town and collapses.

Mar 19, 1987Gele, a new Tentei enforcer, searches a town for remnants of the Red Dragon Party, a past resistance movement opposing the Tentei's army. He locates Muhari, a former Red Dragon Party leader and father of Maru, who previously aided a bearded stranger. The stranger intervenes to protect the townspeople from Gele. During the confrontation, the stranger reveals himself to be Kenshiro by utilizing his Hokuto Shinken martial arts techniques.

Mar 26, 1987Kenshiro visits his tombstone and eliminates two assassins targeting visitors. He then assaults a Celestial Army outpost, forcing survivors to flee to a town governed by Bask. In the town, the executioner Barone captures a young couple, mistakenly identifying them as Lin and Bat. Bask orders the woman executed as Lin. Kenshiro arrives on Kukoh, killing both Barone and Bask. He subsequently reunites with a tearful Lin, Bat, and Rihaku.
EP 4The Mysterious Bounty Hunter Ein Takes Aim at Kenshiro's Head
Apr 2, 1987Kenshiro reunites with Bat and Lin, joining their cause to boost the Hokuto Army's morale. Jakoh places a bounty on Kenshiro, prompting the bounty hunter Ein to accept the offer and defeat other contenders. When Ein challenges Kenshiro, he is easily beaten. The giant hunter Buzori mocks Ein, but Ein angrily defeats the arrogant Buzori with a single punch. Later, Kenshiro visits the obese Imperial Captain Geira. Geira attempts to hypnotize Kenshiro, but the effort fails. Kenshiro subsequently kills Geira after the unsuccessful hypnosis attempt.
EP 5Kenshiro confronts Solia in Mamiya's village after Jakoh's orders devastate the area.
Apr 9, 1987Viceroy Jakoh dispatches Solia of the Purple Light to Mamiya's village to lure Kenshiro into combat. Solia murders the village elder and bans all mentions of the North and South Stars. Kenshiro arrives to find the settlement ruined and engages Solia, a Gento Kōken master tasked with eliminating anyone linked to the Hokuto and Nanto schools. While this duel occurs, Bat and Lin advance on the final western sector. Bat discovers Haz and Gil, the Harn brothers trapped in concrete within a prison, and chooses to rescue them. Despite sustaining injuries during the battle, Kenshiro ultimately defeats Solia.
EP 6Kenshiro faces Shoki while Bat and Lin battle Golden General Falco
Apr 23, 1987Kenshiro encounters Shoki of the Red Light, a former benefactor who once sheltered him and Yuria. Although Shoki proves no match for Kenshiro, he permits the warrior to proceed. Simultaneously, Bat and Lin engage in a desperate fight against Falco, the Golden General and strongest Gento warrior, who easily overpowers the Hokuto Army. In an attempt to protect his companions, Bat falsely claims to be their leader. Falco, however, correctly identifies Lin as the true figure they follow. This confrontation highlights the overwhelming strength of the enemy forces as they target the remaining members of the group.
EP 7The South Star's Fury and the Renowned Harn Brothers Arrive
May 7, 1987As Falco prepares to execute Lin before her followers, the Harn Brothers challenge him to a duel to avenge the Nanto Seiken masters he killed. Simultaneously, Ein attempts to trap Kenshiro, who dismisses the effort as a nuisance. In the ensuing battle, Haz and Gil prove no match for Falco despite their strength. They resort to detonating a bomb to destroy him, but Falco’s men surround him and sacrifice themselves, allowing Falco to survive the explosion.
EP 8Ein faces danger as evil forces target his beloved Asuka in a fierce confrontation
May 14, 1987Commander Beron requests Ein to command bounty hunters against Kenshiro, but Ein declines, choosing to operate independently. He subsequently encounters Bat, who persuades him to defect and join the Hokuto Army. Following this alliance, the group assaults Beron’s fortress. In retaliation, Beron kidnaps Asuka, whom Ein considers his beloved. Kenshiro unexpectedly arrives to assist Ein. Ein then exacts revenge on Beron for threatening Asuka, the child of the woman who previously saved Ein’s life, resolving the conflict through decisive action against the antagonist.
EP 9Falco, the Brave General of the Source Star! There Lies the Shadow of Raoh...
May 28, 1987As Kenshiro and the Hokuto Army approach the Imperial Capital, he learns about how Falco sacrificed his right leg to save his village when threatened by Ken-Oh and his army. Meanwhile, in the capital, Shoki is punished by Viceroy Jakoh for not destroying Kenshiro. When Jakoh also beats Falco for insubordination, Shoki attacks Jakoh, accusing him of misrepresenting the Celestial Empress. However Falco defends Jakoh, apparently killing Shoki. Falco then helps the wounded Shoki to escape the capital, but he is seen by Jakoh and his minions, Green Light Taiga and Blue Light Boltz who spears the wounded Shoki. Shoki later dies, but not before he tells Kenshiro that Jakoh is the real enemy. Kenshiro retrieves the spear and swears vengeance against Boltz.
EP 10Falco's Regret and Kenshiro's Assault on the Imperial Capital
Jun 4, 1987Jakoh suffers a nightmare about Kenshiro before waking to find the Hokuto Army at the Imperial Capital gates. Gento warrior Boltz attacks Kenshiro with the Source Star Hundred Thousand Spears of Light, but Kenshiro destroys him to avenge Shoki. Inside, Falco regrets sparing Jakoh years ago, as Jakoh now holds the Celestial Empress hostage. Kenshiro fights into the capital but hesitates to kill Falco's men. Falco gives a detonator to his lover Myu to destroy the city if he loses. He then engages Kenshiro in a fatal battle that splits the heavens.
EP 11Lin meets her twin sister, the blind Celestial Emperor, underground.
Jun 11, 1987Lin, Bat, and Ein enter the Imperial Capital as Kenshiro and Falco fight. Jakoh orders Myu killed for holding the detonator, but Saiya protects her. Lin’s group arrives, yet Jakoh, shielded by Green Light Taiga, drops them into a pit. There, they encounter the Celestial Emperor, a blind woman resembling Lin. She is revealed to be Lin’s twin sister, spared by Falco years ago when Jakoh originally ordered Lin’s death. Jakoh imprisoned the Emperor underground to force Falco’s obedience. The blind Empress Lui embraces Lin. Outside, the brutal battle between the North and Source Stars continues.
EP 12Ein's Final Sacrifice: Kenshiro and Falco Clash While Ein Saves His Friends
Jun 25, 1987Jacko collapses a dungeon roof to kill those below, but Ein shields the group with his body. Outside, Kenshiro and Falco engage in a brutal battle, both injured and exhausted. Kenshiro lands a winning strike but hesitates to kill Falco, resulting in a standstill. Underground, the fatally wounded Ein urges Lui and Lin to end the conflict, using his remaining energy to help the group escape. Jakoh orders his men to fire massive metal arrows at Kenshiro and Falco. Kenshiro’s men catch the projectiles, while Falco’s men sacrifice their lives by using their bodies as shields. Ein successfully frees the underground group, who emerge to witness the standoff. However, the heroic Ein collapses and dies from his exertions.
EP 13The Imperial Capital Falls as Jakoh Faces Defeat and Death
Jul 9, 1987Kenshiro and Falco cease their battle following the Celestial Empress's rescue, which cost Ein his life. They confront Jakoh, who claims the title of Celestial Emperor, after his soldiers are defeated and Green Light Taiga abandons him. Falco destroys Jakoh as he attempts to flee.
