Satotz informs Gon that Killua failed the final stage against his disguised brother Illumi. Illumi deems Killua unfit for normal life due to his assassin talent and orders him home. Threatening to kill Gon if challenged, Illumi forces Killua to surrender and remain silent. Later, Killua kills Bodoro during his match with Leorio without cause, resulting in disqualification. Upon hearing this, Gon confronts Illumi and breaks his arm. Gon then decides to search for Killua. This event occurs during the Hunter Exam arc, specifically episode 30 out of 31.
