Ep. 8: Shindou's Departure and Endou's Secret Order
After Kidokawa Seishuu defeats Raimon 2-1 to win the Nationals, Endou receives a Fifth Sector order to lose the upcoming Holy Road tournament without scoring. He hides this directive from his teammates. Meanwhile, Shindou announces his intention to quit the team, causing distress among the members. Tenma confronts Shindou at the riverbank, where they clash using Fortissimo and Soyokaze Step. Endou observes their battle, and Shindou eventually breaks down, feeling unworthy of leadership. Endou encourages him, stating that tears make a true captain, leading Shindou to accept the captaincy and return to the squad. The episode concludes with Tsurugi warning Shindou about the impending match and the secret instruction to forfeit without scoring.
