Ep. 47: Naraku struggles with Onigumo's heart while Kikyo faces death and Kagome watches from afar

Kagome returns home upset after Inuyasha ignores Koga, though she is actually retrieving medical supplies. Naraku encounters Kikyo but cannot kill her because Onigumo's heart remains within him. To destroy her, he removes the souls necessary for her animation, causing a weakened Kikyo to flee back to the Sacred Tree where she once imprisoned Inuyasha. Inuyasha restores her souls, allowing the two to embrace. However, Kikyo departs suddenly, leaving Kagome to watch the scene from behind a tree, feeling hurt and dejected by the interaction between the two.
