Ep. 44: Sesshomaru commissions a sword from Kaijinbo using Goshinki's head while Inuyasha is vulnerable.
Aired on September 17, 2001

Sesshomaru locates Goshinki’s corpse and follows Inuyasha’s scent to Kaijinbo, a rogue blacksmith and former student of Totosai. He intends to have a sword forged from Goshinki’s head. Coincidentally, Kaijinbo arrives that night possessed and wielding the Tokijin, his latest creation. At the same time, Inuyasha has reverted to his human form, leaving him defenseless. Totosai subsequently appears and provides Inuyasha with his sword, although it proves too heavy for him to lift.
