Ep. 14: Byakuya witnesses the battle aftermath while Naraku faces resistance from Kohaku and Sango

Byakuya observes the results of the conflict between Sesshomaru and Shishinki. Totosai explains that Sesshomaru’s father provided Tenseiga to refine Meido Zangetsuha, allowing Tetsusaiga to absorb it. Naraku attempts to seize Kohaku’s jewel shard but finds it purified by Kikyo’s spiritual energy. Kohaku battles Naraku alone to defend Jaken and Rin. Inuyasha’s group bypasses Byakuya to confront Naraku, who taunts Sango about Kohaku’s past. Sango asserts she would still fight for him and attacks with Hiraikotsu, which now possesses demonic energy capable of wounding Naraku. Despite attacks from Inuyasha, Kagome, and Miroku, the injured Naraku escapes. Kohaku reveals that the shard remains pure, offering potential utility in the final confrontation.
