The newspaper club constructs a painted wooden replica of the Sonohara base featuring a hovering UFO for the upcoming school festival. Prior to a new mission, Naoyuki inquires about Iriya’s preferences, prompting her to state she wishes to do whatever he is doing. Enomoto requests a promise from Naoyuki to perform the folk dance with Iriya. On the second day of the festival, Iriya contacts Naoyuki via a school phone, instructing him to meet her at Rokuban-yama Hill within the Self-Defense Force's old practice grounds at 18:45. She arrives piloting her Black Manta, and the two proceed to dance together at the designated time.
