Vice Principal Apel Yamada observes Ruby greeting Sakuran, a Sakuramochi Sweetspet from Sweetsland, while Alphes is ignored. At the Jewelpet Cafe, Ruby introduces Sakuran, prompting Chiari and Rossa to note her resemblance to Rossa. Ruby detaches an ear to demonstrate Sakuran's sweet-based regeneration, then shows her the Magic Gems in the Jewel Box. Excited, Sakuran proposes a Sweets Fair, which Headmaster Paroma Tanaka approves despite Alphes's suspicion. Chiari and Ruby post flyers while Alphes seeks to guest star but is ignored. Sakuran, Sango, and Rossa pound mochi traditionally under Nene's supervision, who later announces a stage performance for the trio. Jealous Alphes cleans his swan boat, allowing the Red Moon to possess him and plot to destroy the event.
