Chiari, Nene, and Ruruka discover her assistance while discussing sales strategies. Angela and Labra spot an observer, who reveals herself as Ryoko Izumikawa, chief editor of the Academy Newspaper Club. Ryoko is gathering information on the Jewelpets and suggests hosting an election to determine the most popular Jewelpet, aiming to increase cafe revenue. The girls accept the plan, though Rossa offers her own advice. As preparations proceed at the academy and cafe, Ryoko begins forming an unexpected bond with Rossa and grows concerned for her well-being.
