Garnet expresses happiness for Blue after he rescues a young girl, while the rest of the group searches for a Deco Stone in a barren landscape. As Pink and the Jewelpets approach, the girl awakens in Blue's grasp, confused about her surroundings. The group discovers her name is Mako and that she originates from Ueno, Japan. She explains that she was mysteriously transported to Jewel Land because of the strange necklace she possesses. Trusting her account, Mako requests that Blue carry her to their destination, which causes Garnet to feel envious. Upon arrival, the group encounters Rald again, but he behaves erratically and attacks them in a sudden rampage.
