Ritsu spends time with Tsumugi after failing to invite Mio, visiting an arcade and a candy store where Tsumugi admires inexpensive goods. Simultaneously, Yui hosts Nodoka for homework assistance but becomes distressed when Nodoka eats the strawberry from her cake. Tsumugi desires a physical bond with Mio similar to Ritsu’s, asking Ritsu to strike her, but Ritsu refuses. Ritsu tries training Tsumugi to act foolish enough for Mio to hit her, yet this fails. Tsumugi then eats the strawberry from Mio’s cake, causing Mio to cry. After direct requests fail, Tsumugi finally receives a hit only after suggesting Ritsu would be popular with girls if she were male.
