Ep. 58: Ken pursues the stolen Jet Cutter inside a cave while battling Mekabutta's intense heat.
After the ISO's pollution-free Jet Cutter is stolen, Nambu orders its recovery, but Ken protests the decision. Moved by Jinpei's tears, Ken reluctantly joins the mission. He and Joe enter a cave where Mekabutta hides, facing attacks from statue-like surveillance devices. Ken ignores Joe's caution and enters deeper, discovering the Galactor base before being knocked unconscious by a high-voltage grating. Upon waking, Ken learns Mekabutta is heading toward a uranium mining factory. The God Phoenix pursues the enemy, which uses the Jet Cutter to emit 40,000 degrees Celsius heat from four sides. Ken employs the multiple firebird figure to withstand the barrage, causing Mekabutta to self-destruct from overheating. On the return journey, Ken apologizes for his hotheadedness, and Joe suggests that defeating Galactor one by one will eventually corner Katse.
