Ken restrains an eager Joe, sneaking into the mecha with Jun before the rest of the team joins the fight. The mecha commander informs Berg Kattse, second-in-command of Galactor, about the team. Kattse relays this to leader Sosai X, who orders the mecha to crash into the God Phoenix to destroy them. At the last moment, the God Phoenix uses the Firebird Effect to melt the enemy ship and escape destruction.

Oct 8, 1972After a spaceship vanishes with a resource-tracking device, the Science Ninja Team descends to the ocean floor. They discover shrimp-shaped bulldozers excavating a massive aircraft carrier to construct a uranium factory. Ken halts Ryu’s plan to launch a bird missile and infiltrates the vessel alone. Inside, he finds the ship’s capsule but realizes the astronauts are dead, making their apparent survival a trap. Following Joe’s orders, Jinpei enters to rescue Ken from underground captivity. The duo retrieves the device, destroys the carrier’s computer, and escapes. The commander, blamed by Kattse, merges with the Turtle King to attack the God Phoenix. Ken’s quick thinking transforms the God Phoenix into the Firebird, whose flames consume the enemy.
3EP 3Ken battles Galactor's giant mummy using uranless while helping Makoto find his father.
Oct 15, 1972Ken investigates a series of deadly passenger plane crashes and meets Makoto, whose father disappeared in one incident. The inventor of the element uranless, Dr. Takahara, is Makoto's uncle. Galactor causes the crashes to steal uranless, which neutralizes the propulsion of their giant mummy. Ken previously encountered the mummy in his Cessna and possesses propulsion data. He contacts Dr. Takahara to obtain uranless and meets Makoto's father, who miraculously survived the crash. However, this is Berugu Kattse in disguise, who fights Ken and escapes. Makoto blames Ken for torturing his father. Ken promises to return him and receives the pin containing uranless. At the airport, Ken defeats the giant mummy by firing uranless at it. Makoto sees Kattse flee in an escape rocket and accuses Ken of breaking his promise. Ken silently accepts the hate, having lost his own father 10 years ago in a similar manner and hoping for his return.
4EP 4Ken faces Naomi's wrath after failing to save her father from the Iron Beast Mechadegon
Oct 22, 1972Ken visits the Institute for Earthquake Research following an earthquake caused by a mecha. He falls into a crevice with director Nakahara, surviving through transmutation while Nakahara perishes. Naomi Nakahara, the director's daughter, attacks Ken, suspecting him of being Galactor. To explain his true identity as a Science Ninja Team member, Ken allows her to join the team. During a mission, the God Phoenix locates the mecha at a base. Ken asks Dr. Nambu for permission to fire bird missiles to let Naomi avenge her father. Nambu refuses, but Ken overrides him and guides Naomi's hand to fire the weapons. Later, Ken offers his bracelet to Nambu, intending to resign for the unauthorized action. Nov 5, 1972After Galactor's Mini Robots steal gold bars from the World Bank, the Science Ninja Team investigates nearby islands. Joe sends Ken, Jun, and Jinpei in civilian clothes to infiltrate the enemy base and draw attention. While Nambu forbids a direct attack, Joe leaves Ryu in the God Phoenix underwater and sneaks into the facility. Inside, the team causes chaos as Joe locates the stolen gold. He discovers a missile is targeting the God Phoenix, which is currently dormant. Joe wakes Ryu, and they narrowly evade the missile. Guided by Joe, the team secures the gold bars inside the submarine. Ken and the others escape the base, after which Galactor destroys the facility and its personnel in response to the theft.

15EP 15The Science Ninja Team confronts a growing jellyfish lens in polluted Ghost City.
Jan 7, 1973Ten years after Ghost City was ruined by pollution, the Science Ninja Team arrives in the God Phoenix to investigate lost communications. They encounter a Galactor base and coordinate with Nambu’s UN forces to attack it. However, a jellyfish lens created by Sosai X continues to grow in the polluted sea, using the water as amniotic fluid. This creature amplifies sunlight to destroy UN fighter planes and begins attacking Earth cities. The God Phoenix locates the base and the lens, destroying the former while the latter pursues them. With their protective membrane damaged, the team follows Red Impulse instructions to use high-pressure oxygen against the lens’s poisonous gas. Tragically, the film is destroyed in the chaos, despite the team saving the prince.

Mar 11, 1973ISO scientists are murdered, prompting Nambu to assign the Science Ninja Team as bodyguards. Ken encounters Galactor's Ninja Blackbirds near an amusement park, while Jun and Jinpei face a Neon Giant summoned by flute music.
