Ep. 61: Ken encounters his father's Red Impulse planes and discovers a Galactor deception.

Ken flies over Hontwall in his G1 plane and spots three Red Impulse aircraft, recognizing his father inside one. Ignoring Nambu’s warnings, Ken follows the commander to a new base. Nambu dispatches the God Phoenix to investigate, but it is captured by a mecha without a pilot. At the base, the figure claiming to be Ken’s father explains he was searching for Galactor headquarters and asks Ken to deliver a briefcase to Nambu. Upon receiving it, Nambu reports that the God Phoenix has gone silent. Suspecting deception due to the commander’s suspicious remarks, Ken returns to the base. He realizes the commander is actually Katse in disguise, who had planted a transmitter in the briefcase. After a struggle where Katse escapes, Ken is imprisoned with his captured teammates. He breaks out, contacts Nambu to discard the briefcase, and attaches a small transmitter to Katse. The Galactor base and the pursuing mecha attack each other and are destroyed.
