Believing the Science Ninja Team dead after a major defeat, Katse receives orders from X to eliminate them completely. While the team recovers at Nambu's villa, a tourist city is attacked, prompting Nambu to leave the defense to U.N. forces. Katse, convinced the team is gone, proceeds with an operation using underground torpedoes to destroy U.N. bases. Nambu deduces the launch site and sends the team to infiltrate the facility. Inside, Joe attaches detectors to the torpedoes. During a celebration where Katse holds a tape with X's conquest plans, the team appears and steals the tape. Katse triggers the torpedo launch and base destruction before fleeing. The God Phoenix pursues the mecha, firing a Bird Missile equipped with a transmitter that guides the torpedoes back to Nambu. However, the tape disintegrates into white smoke upon playback.
