A dispute arises between Joe and Ken regarding weapon usage. Ken reflects on future evils while visiting his father's grave. On Mikron Island, the mecha Matangar threatens to destroy cities every 12 hours unless the Science Ninja Team appears. Ken analyzes photos to find a weak point, noting that destroying the armored beast could obliterate the island. He identifies a small vent and requests a special bullet. The Phoenix hovers above as Joe aims the Condor Machine. Ken directs Joe to shoot the bullet through the one-centimeter vent, igniting the interior. Matangar clutches the Phoenix and moves toward the sea. Ken bets that the belly armor is thinner, ordering Jun to fire a rocket from the top dome. The rocket destroys the mecha, confirming Ken's assessment.
