Anko meets a family friend preparing for her mother’s seventh death anniversary and witnesses a suspicious man enter Room 31. When she attempts to return his wallet, an old lady denies living there, later revealed to be protecting Anko after a murder occurs. Separately, Sho shares a story about Giovanni, who traverses Demon's Pass to save his grandfather. Giovanni resists voices from his deceased parents urging him to turn around, ultimately defeating the devil by keeping his promise. Sho questions Anko’s courage regarding such temptations. Finally, Ako narrates the legend of a suicidal model whose ghost haunts a building, causing a photocopier to malfunction and display her face.
