Ep. 1: Aoi Tsubaki marries into a spirit inn to settle her grandfather's massive debt.

Aoi Tsubaki, who has seen spirits since childhood, is taken by an Ogre named Odanna to his inn, Tenjin-ya, in the Ayakashi's Hidden Realm. Her grandfather left a debt of 100 million yen, which Odanna settled by claiming Aoi as his bride. Refusing marriage, Aoi insists on working to repay the debt. Odanna agrees but warns that as an employee, she lacks the protection afforded to his wife. After being rejected by other staff who doubt a human's suitability, Aoi encounters Ginji, a nine-tailed fox servant. She offers to cook for him, and he hires her to work at a restaurant. Meanwhile, news of a human bride in the Hidden Realm spreads among other Ayakashi.
