Ep. 26: Spirits Inn Serves Delicious Dishes to a Lonely Child Spirit

Umi-bouzo is revealed as a lonely child spirit trapped by miasma for a century. Aoi lifts a screen to see him, shares Tengu Alcohol, and hugs him after realizing their shared loneliness. Kai and Mei serve quiche, restoring Aoi’s taste. Ranmaru admits the mood is ruined and joins them. Umi-bouzo’s miasma turns pink with joy but he must return to the ocean. Aoi gives him food and Chibi gives a Rainbow Clam pearl. Umi-bouzo leaves hoping to return in 100 years, unaware Aoi will be dead then. Aoi remembers Ginji was her childhood Ayakashi. Odanna threatens Ginji for hurting Aoi. Ginji admits visiting her as a child but denies being the first visitor. The group learns Umi-bouzo prevents disasters from a dark place appearing every 100 years by gaining power from the ceremony. Ranmaru changes the ceremony to thank Umi-bouzo. Staff say goodbye while Ougan-douji watches. Aoi promises Odanna she will repay him as they return to Tenjin-ya.
