While searching for her ring, Karin encounters a young boy named Suzune who is looking for his mother. The pair becomes trapped in the past due to the door of chaos. Suzune provides Karin with a ring given to him by his mother, intended for use against the door. However, Karin fails to control the ring's power. They are eventually rescued by two strangers. Upon waking, Karin finds herself back in the present and dismisses the entire experience as a dream.
