Balder becomes increasingly attached to Yui because she remains unaffected by his divine charisma as the Norse God of Light. With winter returning, the gods organize a Christmas-inspired cultural festival, dividing into groups according to their heritage. Yui is assigned to work with the Japanese gods, which provokes Balder's jealousy. He insists on accompanying her everywhere, causing Loki to become frustrated. Loki confronts Balder, reminding him of a childhood promise to always stay together regardless of circumstances. Loki believes that Yui is interfering with their friendship and causing a rift between the two friends.
