Yui attempts to avoid Balder and Loki following a previous argument. Despite Loki's warnings to stay away for her safety, Balder successfully abducts her and tries to seduce her. Loki discovers them, causing Balder to go on a rampage. Loki then explains to Yui that Balder possesses an innate power as a God of Destruction, which activates when his emotions become unstable, leading to violent behavior he does not remember upon waking. While other gods release lanterns into the sky, unaware of the crisis, Loki informs Thor of his intention to kill Balder. This revelation highlights the dangerous instability inherent in Balder's divine nature and the severe consequences of his emotional fluctuations.
