After being dumped, college student Kazuya Kinoshita rents Chizuru Mizuhara to alleviate his depression. He finds her performance inauthentic and confronts her during their second date, prompting her to drop the act. Kazuya is subsequently summoned to the hospital because his grandmother has been hospitalized again. His family is surprised by the presence of his new girlfriend. When the grandmother intends to introduce Chizuru to other elderly women, Chizuru becomes anxious because one of them is her own grandmother. Following the hospital visit, Kazuya attempts to move forward with his romantic life. However, this plan is interrupted when both he and Chizuru discover that they are enrolled at the same college, creating an unexpected connection between them.
