Kazuya recalls his first meeting with Mami while they kiss, then rejoins the group to receive a call from his grandmother about her hospital discharge. He immediately announces his breakup with Chizuru, sparking a conflict with Kibe, who also criticizes Mami’s conduct. Chizuru reassures Kazuya that he is blameless. Later, Kibe speaks with Chizuru, affirming Kazuya’s good nature despite his flaws, and provides her with ferry tickets. During the voyage, Kazuya takes a phone call from Mami. While distracted, a delirious Chizuru falls overboard. Upon hearing the incident from other passengers, Kazuya promptly jumps into the water to rescue her.
