Nishikata invites Takagi to a candy store, but his attempts to trick her fail. Mina organizes a picnic for Yukari and Sanae to view cherry blossoms, where they discuss body weight. Nishikata and Takagi join them, bringing sweets. Later, Nishikata tries to intimidate Takagi by dropping the honorific san, which also backfires. On the first day of the second year, Nishikata attempts to act like an upperclassman, referencing the manga and anime Unrequited Love. However, Takagi has also watched the show, complicating his efforts to maintain his new persona.
