Ep. 43: Erin Refuses Whistle Use, Suffers Injury, and Chooses Path as Beast Healer
Aired on November 7, 2009

Beastinarians from Lazal arrive to study Erin’s unique ability to tame Ohju without a Silent Whistle, a method prohibited by Law. They demand she use the whistle on Lilan, but Erin refuses. When a beastinarian blows their own whistle, Lilan enters a blind rage and attacks them. Erin is forced to intervene using her Silent Whistle, which causes Lilan to bite off several of Erin’s fingers. This traumatic event helps Erin comprehend her mother’s statement that Tohda are beasts. Consequently, Erin resolves to become a Beast Healer, following her mother’s example by sharing the joys and pains of the Ohju and utilizing the Silent Whistle. Following these events, Erin is ordered to travel to the Royal Palace accompanied by Lilan and her family.
