Ep. 6: Domon undergoes a secret VR simulation to prove his worth as Neo Japan's Gundam Fighter.
Domon returns to the Neo Japan space colony for an undisclosed virtual reality test to determine if he is the right choice for Neo Japan's Gundam Fighter. Unaware of the test, he experiences a scenario where he returns home after 10 years of training under Master Asia. He reunites with his parents and brother Kyoji, who holds a photo Domon carried. Kyoji and his father reveal the Ultimate Gundam, but police burst in and kill Domon's mother. Kyoji plans to use the Ultimate Gundam to take over Neo Japan and the world, leaving Domon's father in a cryogenic state. The simulation shifts to a battle against the Devil Gundam, disguised as the Mobile Armor Fantoma. Rain attempts to stop the simulation but crashes her transport. Seeing her reminds Domon of his mother's death, enraging him and unlocking the Shining Gundam's Super Mode. The episode concludes with Domon and Rain returning to Earth with renewed vigor.
