A hostile local police inspector also opposes Gundam Fighters due to the destruction they cause. Michelo kidnaps a child named Sophia to provoke Domon into a battle. Domon rescues Sophia and accepts the challenge. During the fight, Michelo and his Neros Gundam are defeated and disqualified from the tournament.

May 6, 1994While traveling to Neo China, Domon is persuaded by two Shaolin monks to confront a local Gundam Fighter who has allegedly gone rogue. He accepts the mission and sets out, soon accompanied by a young boy. The pair is captured by thugs, but Domon escapes. The boy reaches the Dragon Gundam and reveals his identity as Sai Saici, the Neo China representative. The two engage in combat, and despite Sai Saici's youth, he proves to be Domon's equal, resulting in a draw. Since Sai Saici did not recognize the man in the photograph either, Domon and Rain continue their journey.

May 13, 1994Domon interrupts a battle between George de Sand and another fighter, prompting George to reject his challenge due to his disrespectful behavior. Desperate to fight George again, Domon agrees to Princess Marie Louise’s scheme to fake her kidnapping, hoping George will rescue her using his Gundam Rose. Unaware of the test, he experiences a scenario where he returns home after 10 years of training under Master Asia. He reunites with his parents and brother Kyoji, who holds a photo Domon carried. Kyoji and his father reveal the Ultimate Gundam, but police burst in and kill Domon's mother. Kyoji plans to use the Ultimate Gundam to take over Neo Japan and the world, leaving Domon's father in a cryogenic state. The simulation shifts to a battle against the Devil Gundam, disguised as the Mobile Armor Fantoma. Rain attempts to stop the simulation but crashes her transport. While traveling to Neo Hong Kong, Rain is ambushed by four unidentified Mobile Fighters. This delay causes him to arrive just in time for the finals. The group reunites in Neo Hong Kong as the competition begins, with Domon finally joining his teammates after overcoming the obstacles in the highlands.
