Lt. Murrue Ramius assumes command of the Archangel while Kira and his friends are detained for witnessing top-secret military weapons. The crew discovers that Kira is a coordinator. Rau Le Creuset, impressed by the Strike's performance, orders mobile suits to capture it. Athrun disobeys orders to locate the pilot and confirm if it is Kira. Upon finding the answer, Heliopolis collapses under severe damage.
