Kira discovers a malfunctioning lifeboat and brings it aboard the Archangel, surprising everyone with the presence of rescued civilian Flay Allster. In response to the threat, Kira chooses to continue piloting the Strike, while his friends volunteer to join the Archangel crew to provide support. This episode highlights the growing bond between Kira and his companions as they face external dangers and internal decisions regarding their future roles within the ship's operations.
