Banagher successfully evades Marida to bring Audrey to the Magallanica mansion, hoping to consult Cardeas, the Vist Foundation head. Inside, Banagher experiences a strange déjà vu upon seeing the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry. Cardeas dismisses Banagher and rejects Audrey’s plea to stop the Laplace’s Box handover, which might trigger another war. Meanwhile, the Earth Federation Forces assault landing ship Nahel Argama, carrying an ECOAS special forces team on a secret mission to prevent the Box’s transfer, approaches Industrial 7. Zinnerman and his comrades, members of the Neo Zeon remnant group Sleeves who survived Char's Rebellion, begin negotiations to receive the Box. However, Cardeas offers only the key. Zinnerman remains suspicious of Cardeas’s claim that he is protecting Audrey.
