Nomoa Long and Carris Nautilus, the subordinate Newtype of Fort Severn leader, deliver a speech in northern North America. The Freeden travels to the fort to meet the Newtype but is ambushed by Carris piloting the RMSN-008 Bertigo. Garrod engages the enemy in the GX but is swiftly defeated. This loss results from Garrod's lack of experience and Carris's superior abilities as a Newtype. The encounter highlights the dangerous capabilities of the Newtype faction and the challenges faced by the Freeden crew during this mission to Fort Severn.
