Garrod manages to escape alongside Tiffa. During this time, he witnesses Jamil piloting the GX, who effortlessly defeats Carris's Bertigo. Following this loss, Carris retreats from the immediate conflict. He later seeks out Nomoa to confront her. Subsequently, Carris travels to The Frieden, where he engages in a battle against Garrod and ultimately suffers defeat in this encounter.
