Ep. 18: Ragyo reveals her true identity and defeats Satsuki while Ryuko battles Nui.

Following the rescue of trapped individuals, the Elite Four confront Nui while Mako assists in evacuations. Satsuki discloses that Ragyo used her and her newborn sister for Life Fiber experiments, discarding the latter after a supposed failure. Ragyo heals her injuries, seizes control of the students to form an army, and forces Ryuko to fight Satsuki, though Ryuko breaks free through her own will. Ryuko engages Nui while Satsuki battles Ragyo, decapitating her. However, Ragyo survives because her Life Fiber remains unsevered, overpowering Satsuki and stealing Junketsu. As an army of Covers appears in the sky, Ragyo extracts Ryuko’s Life Fiber-covered heart, revealing Ryuko to be Ragyo’s presumed deceased daughter.
