Ep. 48: Seth unleashes a black Tyrannosaurus rex to threaten the city and seize Dino Holders.
Seth deploys a black Tyrannosaurus rex against the D-Team, overpowering Chomp, Ace, and Paris. Dr. Z attempts to intervene by summoning Terry, but the effort proves futile. Seth captures Zoe to force the D-Team to surrender their Dino Holders, which are required to power the Backlander. The D-Team, Jonathan, and the Alpha Gang infiltrate the facility to retrieve the items, but their mission is compromised when Dr. Z sneezes while disguised as an Alpha Droid. Jonathan rescues the group after rebuilding Helga. In the control room, Spike uses his whip to recover the Dino Holders, prompting Seth to summon Saurophaganax. Following advice from Dr. Z, Max and Rex combine their Move Cards, enabling Chomp and Ace to defeat the new dinosaur. Despite this victory, Seth retains his unstoppable black Tyrannosaurus rex as a final threat.
