Rod reveals an alternative route to the Control Room, bypassing the Black Tyrannosaurus rex. After the Black T-Rex knocks Max into a hole, Jonathan rescues him and identifies their proximity to the Central Control Room housing the Time Machine. While the group confronts the dinosaur, Zoe devises a plan to use Fusion Moves at the Loading Dock. Jonathan, Max, and Chomp battle Alpha Droids, and Helga uses elevator controls to lift the Black Tyrannosaurus outside, releasing the collected dinosaurs. Max gives Jonathan the Secret Dinosaurs to aid Rex and Zoe. Inside, Max and Chomp trigger Seth's trap as he activates the Time Machine. Jonathan saves Rex from the Fire Scorcher and provides a card. The episode concludes with a major conflict involving Zoe, Rex, Dr. Z (later Dr. Taylor), Laura, and Rod against the Black Tyrannosaurus rex, alongside Max fighting Seth.
