During the holiday season, Dr. Z orders Laura and Rod to infiltrate the D-Team's town and seize their dinosaur cards. While they distract Aki, who unexpectedly invites them to join the festivities, Max expresses his displeasure. Meanwhile, at Zeta Point, Dr. Z discovers his Megalosaurus card. Upon learning that Laura and Rod have failed, he recruits Ursula, Zander, and Ed to assist. After the initial pair steals Zoe's dino holder, the D-Team pursues them, leading to a battle between Chomp and Ace against Terry and Tank. Following the defeat of the latter duo, the new trio accidentally summons Megalosaurus. Ultimately, the D-Team overcomes the monster, securing the card and forcing the antagonists to retreat empty-handed.
