Ep. 52: School sports festival lunch bets and mamodo Penny pursue Zatch for his forgotten memories

During a school physical checkup, Kiyo, Yamanaka, Kane, and Iwashima compete in four events, wagering lunch portions. Kiyo wins the long jump and handball toss, securing unagi and melon smoothies, while Iwashima claims steak and Kane takes a strawberry upside-down cake, though Kane injures his back. Meanwhile, mamodo Penny and human Uri locate the cake via scent and destroy the delivery truck with a spell. Upon learning the cake is gone, Kane becomes depressed while Kiyo remains silent. Penny recounts her past with Zatch, but he fails to recognize her due to memory loss. Enraged, she pursues him to school, breaking through doors. Kiyo identifies her as a mamodo and flees with Zatch to an empty pool with their teammates. Penny explains her hatred stems from Zatch’s amnesia. The conflict escalates into a battle where Zatch and Kiyo struggle against Penny’s overwhelming water magic.
