One week after Haruka vanished, Yoshihisa fails to reach her. With Daichi's assistance, the ESP Research Club identifies her last known location. Lacking hotel reservations, the group accepts an invitation to stay at a local shrine. The head priest, a family friend of Haruka, learns of Yoshihisa's distress and guides them to Haruka's residence, where she lives with her grandfather, Zenzou. Unable to confront them directly, Haruka listens to Yoshihisa's heartfelt plea, which makes her vulnerable. She refuses to return, fearing she will hurt others, and tries to flee again. Hiyori then arrives, apologizing for her past jealousy and thanking Haruka for inspiring her personal growth. Haruka accepts this apology and agrees to return to school.
