Haruka catches a cold in October after receiving a birthday locket from Yoshihisa, who cares for her. He notices her telepathy is impaired but hides this, initially tempted to exploit the situation before restraining himself. Although Haruka recovers physically, her mental abilities remain dormant. As retribution for his deception, Yuriko arranges a date between them. They visit various locations, and Haruka selects a photo of the pair to place inside her locket. Near the conclusion of their outing, Haruka encounters an individual and suddenly perceives terrifying, violent thoughts. The intense shock of this revelation causes her to collapse and lose consciousness, leaving the outcome of the date unresolved.
