Kuroko returns to the court and uses his Vanishing Drive to pass Midorima, allowing Seirin to tie Shutoku by the end of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Midorima claims he surpassed his limits long ago as both teams trade baskets. With under 30 seconds remaining, Otsubo scores to give Shutoku a 104–103 lead. Kiyoshi attempts a dunk but is fouled by Midorima. Kiyoshi makes the first free throw to tie the game but misses the second. Kagami secures the rebound and attempts a final dunk as the buzzer sounds.
